Steve Enna
Stephen A. Enna is a 1968 graduate of Oregon State University and a 1984 graduate of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Senior Executive Program. He served in the United States Navy as a line officer from 1968 to 1971.
Mr. Enna began his career with the Bank of California as a Human Resources Officer in 1971. During his eight years with Bank of California, he held both centralized staff and decentralized line Human Resources positions. His final assignment with Bank of California was Vice President and Manager of Personnel Services Department.
In 1978, he joined Wells Fargo Bank as Manager of Employment and was promoted to Manager of Employee Relations Administration in 1980. In 1983 he became the Bank’s Human Resources Director. Mr. Enna served as Wells Fargo’s Director of Human Resources for 10 years and was appointed Executive Vice President in 1989.
In 1993, Mr. Enna joined Fritz Companies as the Chief Administrative Officer with responsibility for the majority of staff functions. Fritz Companies (acquired by UPS in 2001) was a global logistics company with offices in 97 countries around the world.
In 1995, Mr. Enna formed John Parry & Alexander to provide Human Resource and Administrative Services consulting to small and medium sized companies. Over the next 13 years JPA worked with a wide variety of for profit and not for profit companies. However, JPA has developed a significant business with community banks and now works with more than 100 of them.
In July 2007, JPA was purchased by TriNet HR Services, a human resource outsource company. Mr. Enna served as a Managing Director with TriNet until establishing EW Partners in January of 2009.
Mr. Enna has been a speaker for Western Independent Bankers at their Bank Presidents and CFO conferences. He has presented to the California Banker Association, Oregon Bankers Association/Independent Community Banks of Oregon, Washington Bankers Association, Utah Bankers Association, Idaho Community Bankers, Arizona Bankers Association/American Association of Bank Directors, South Dakota/North Dakota Bankers Associations, Minnesota Bankers Association and Community Bankers of California. He has taught at the Practicing Law Institute and the American Bankers’ Association’s Graduate School of Human Resources and the Oregon Bank Directors College. He is a past member of the American Bankers’ Association’s Human Resources Executive Committee, past Chairman of the Board of Federated Employers of the Bay Area, and past Chairman of the Bay Area Business Group on Health. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan YMCA in San Francisco for 12 years and he is the past Chairman of the Advisory Council to the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Oregon State University.
Mr. Enna is a resident of Danville, California, is married, and has two grown children.
