Dennis Wootten
Dennis J. Wootten received his BS in Accounting from the University of San Francisco in 1970 and his MBA in Finance from Golden Gate University in 1976.
From 1967 through 1975, Mr. Wootten’s career focus was finance and accounting. He held positions as Accountant with Wells Fargo Bank, Assistant Treasurer with Transamerica Corporation (Banker’s Mortgage), Assistant Vice President with Western Mortgage Company and Assistant Vice President with Continental Advisors, Inc. Through these positions, he gained experience in real estate, finance and reporting, joint ventures, banking relationships and the management of accounting systems.
In 1975, he joined the Insurance Company of North America in its subsidiary, Lawrence Systems, Inc. Mr. Wootten served as a Controller of this multi-national firm for four years.
In 1979, Mr. Wootten returned to where his career began, Wells Fargo Bank. For the next 11 years he gained increased responsibilities and enjoyed significant job diversity. His positions included Group Finance Officer for the Computer Operations Group, Vice President and Division Manager for Administrative Services and Vice President and Manager of Personnel Operations.
In 1990, Mr. Wootten took his outsourcing philosophy and expertise to First Nationwide Bank. As First Vice President of Administrative Services, he dramatically reduced costs and streamlined the commodity and service acquisition process.
Until September 1997, Mr. Wootten was employed by Fritz Companies, Inc., as Director of Administrative Services. His responsibilities included worldwide responsibility for facilities, telecommunications, purchasing, and administrative services.
In 1995, Mr. Wootten formed John Parry & Alexander to provide Human Resource and Administrative Services consulting to small and medium sized companies. Over the next 13 years JPA worked with a wide variety of for profit and not for profit companies. However, JPA has developed a significant business with community banks and now works with more than 100 of them.
In July 2007, JPA was purchased by TriNet HR Services, and after fulfilling a short employment agreement, he and Steve Enna formed EW Partners, Inc., a HR consulting firm.
Mr. Wootten has been a member of the San Francisco’s Mayor’s Fiscal Advisory Board. He has also served on the Board of Catholic Charities, as CFO of United Way of Santa Clara and is very active with Autism Speaks.
He holds an active California Real Estate Broker’s License for over 15 years and is licensed for all forms of insurance (California).
Mr. Wootten is a resident of Redwood City, is married, and has three sons.
