Bill Caldwell

William R. Caldwell is a graduate of the University of California, Davis, and the Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management, Stanford University. He served in the United States Army as First Lieutenant.

From 2003 until 2007, Bill served as the Founding Chairman of the Board of Bay Commercial Bank in Walnut Creek.

Prior to becoming a search professional, Bill was a banker. Bill served as Vice Chairman of the Bank of California in San Francisco and as a member of the Bank's Board of Directors. He also served as the Bank's Chief Operating Officer, Head of the Banking Group, and Southern California Division Executive in Los Angeles.

Bill joined John Parry & Alexander, the predecessor firm of EW Partners, Inc., in 2002 and his primary focus is conducting retained search assignments for CEOs and "C" level positions that report to the CEO within the Independent/Community Bank marketplace. Bill's search experience began in 1987 when he and his partner formed Pearson, Caldwell & Farnsworth. The company was acquired by Korn/Ferry International in 1999 and Bill was the Office Managing Director of its San Francisco Office.
